Massive Gas Stations Proposed
This project will put two gas stations across from each other on the side of Vineyard right off of Highway 101. The San Luis Obispo Planning Commission approved the projects and now have bids from two vendors. Opposition to the gas station includes:
- Increased noise
- Air pollution
- Decrease of home values
- Convenience stores will be a distraction for students
- The project is right next to schools
- Traffic on Vineyard is already at a standstill during school drop off and pickup
- Will facilitate Human Trafficking
- Already difficult to make left turns onto Vineyard from Rossi Road
- 24×7 nature of operation will increase presence of criminal element
